Argentina Y Croatia on Tuesday we met in a huge World Cup semifinal after both teams overcame dramatic penalty shootouts in the quarterfinals.
Lionel Messi He ignited the style once more, but almost saw his dream end with the return of the Netherlands sparked by the introduction of Wout Weghorst.
Croatia, for their part, proved too resilient for Brazil in a dramatic quarter-final, still finding time to equalize after Neymar’s wonderful extra-time goal before winning on penalties yet again.
While they aren’t always the most entertaining to watch, the 2018 finalists just can’t be written off.
With quality across the field and the kind of unit many teams would envy, it could possibly be two last appearances in a row for a golden generation that many had already written off.

Argentina vs Croatia team news
Argentina will not be able to count on the pair of wingers Gonzalo Montiel and Marcos Acuña, both booked against the Netherlands and therefore suspended for the semifinal. Nicolás Tagliafico should come in on the left side while Nahuel Molina starts on the right.
Head coach Lionel Scaloni should return to a four-man defense after drafting Lisandro Martinez into a bolstered back line for the win over the Dutch. That means Ángel Di María should return when Martínez retires.
Croatia again have no injury concerns, which means Zlatko Dalic can shuffle his package if necessary. It is likely that he will stick with the same starting XI that he brought down Brazil.
Argentina vs Croatia betting tip and prediction
Given the way both teams have operated so far, it’s going to be very tight.
Messi, however, could make the difference. Croatia don’t have much of an attacking threat outside of penalties and the Argentine star could punish them in a game with few chances.
