Croatia vs Morocco lineups: Confirmed team news, predicted XIs and injury latest for World Cup playoff

Aside from the obvious disappointment of missing out on Sunday’s grand final, the Croatia coach zlatko dalic he has been largely free of injury worries throughout his time in Qatar.

While Saturday’s game offers a chance to exhaust some of their backup options, expect another strong team looking to finish third at a World Cup for the second time, having done so for the first time in 1998.

Luka Modric, who could well be playing his last World Cup game, will almost certainly be flanked by Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic in midfield, while the team’s only real headache comes when choosing between Bruno Petkovic and Andrej Kramaric.

Morocco, meanwhile, have been decimated by injuries. Nayef Aguerd, Romain Saiss and Noussair Mazraoui were all injured during the semi-final loss to France and coach Walid Regragui has confirmed that there will be changes.

“We have a lot of injured players, we are on our last legs,” he said.

“We want to win, but I also want to allow players who haven’t played to come out and show what they can do. We are going to try to win but I have a lot of players who need to recover”.
