England U21 manager Lee Carsley praises Young Lions for overcoming Czech Republic at Turf Moor

Everton forward Anthony Gordon scored twice before Arsenal‘s Folarin Balogun he scored his first goal in the Under-21 category in a forceful performance.

“We had no illusions that it would be a difficult game, they had not conceded a goal, so I wanted to see what they would be like if they did. They are a good team and we can be proud of that ”.

Everton’s Gordon struck twice in the first 11 minutes at Turf Moor as England took full control.

He opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Martin Vitik deflected his shot past Manchester United goalkeeper Matej Kovar.
